Snow Monkey Park is located in the main island of Japan (Honshu) in Nagano prefecture, Yamanouchi town.
It takes just 2.5 hours to get there from Tokyo. 
Park is right next to very well known historical hot spring SPA areas full of old traditional Ryokan Hotels -> Shibu Onsen & Yudanaka Onsen.
Official Japanese name of the Park is "Jigokudani Yaenkoen" / of the Monkeys "Japanese Macaques"

Park is open 365days in the year and you can meet the Monkeys in any season any day. Snow Monkeys love to take 100% natural hot spring bath in their own pool made from stones.

Snow Monkeys are very unique and became World famous. In the season 08/09 came ten tousents of foreign visitors to see them and take planty of pictures from few cm distance.
Everybody wants to see Kyoto and Snow Monkey during visiting Japan. It is attraction Nr. 1 in Nagano prefecture!
